A few logging jobs

I can’t believe it was August when I last visited. The A1 road works continue to limit my visits to weekends when less traffic. The weather can restrict me and other things going on in my life have got in the way. I really needed to go and reconnect with the place and to bring some logs back for winter. After a reccy of my woods, the first task was to get a fire going, kettle on and a coffee. A good start.

I filled three trugs of logs to take back and chopped some birch that I had felled earlier in the year. Stacked it in the log store to finish seasoning. I met two sets of neighbours for a catch up which is always good. Did some repairs to a tarp that is covering the birch logs and to be honest didn’t do an awful lot more. It doesn’t make for a very interesting post, sorry. What it did do was make me realise how much I have missed being there and a resolve to get back more often and carry on with my projects. Next time I hope to have some more content. In the meantime here are some more photos. All taken with my Samsung S23 Ultra phone. I think the quality is much better than my camera.
